authentic isaan food

Udon on Th. Chang Lor, yellow sign in thai, 100 metres before the chinese consulate.

Very tasty authentic isaan food, grilled fish, som tam, fiery soups and excellent moo nam tok, grilled pork with rice powder and chilli, among other things.

All food must be approached with circumspection if you don’t like spicy, but the last visitors I took there, insisted on going back another couple of times before they had to return home.

No english menu, but friendly and helpful owner, great food at rock bottom prices, much better than anything served at the nearby food market at Chiang Mai gate. No tourists.
